Carl & Maureen Clayton
Carl graduated from the University of Toledo and Maureen from Illinois State University – both with degrees in teaching. All three of our kids have graduated from Purdue. We’ve been on staff with Cru for over 30 years – on the campuses of IU, Kansas State, Ohio State, and Purdue. Since our own personal relationships with God began when we were freshmen in college – we are very committed to seeing college students get the chance to hear about knowing God and then learning how to live for Him. We like to read, work out, travel (especially to our partnership city Berlin!) and spend time with our family.
Kent & Bev Wilson
Kent and Bev both graduated from Purdue University and joined staff in the early 90′s. They have five kids: Abbey, Anna, Perry, Luke, and Tyler. Kent is pretty handy with a screwdriver and ratchet. Bev makes some of the best food you’ve ever had. When the family isn’t running all over town for sports practice and school events they like to visit the lakes in Northern Indiana.
Caleb and Jenny Hoover
We both grew up in the Chicago suburbs and met each other through Cru at Illinois State University. After graduating with degrees in education, we were married in October 2007, and soon joined staff. We love college ministry and feel so blessed to be here working with the students of Purdue University. Caleb loves sports, especially Chicago teams. We are both determined to remain avid Bears fans, despite relocating to Colts country. Jenny loves coffee, books, and marathons of her favorite T.V. shows.
Emma Kinkley
I graduated from Purdue in May of 2010 with a degree in Math Education and absolutely love that I am teaching college students about Jesus and not about Euclid. I have a serious passion for women on campus, specifically the ladies of Earhart, Wiley, and the Co-ops (ladies in the house what what!). In my spare time I write letters, play guitar, drink Vanilla Chai from Vienna with my best friend, and pound the pavement, running entirely too far. Also, I secretly think math really is beautiful and do two crosswords every night to keep the cogs in the noggin function- ing real nice.
Ryan and Laura Speicher
We both graduated from Purdue in 2002 and have been on staff here at the greatest university in the world ever since! We love working with college students and seeing lost ones come to know Jesus and helping students who are already Christians live for their God-given purpose. We have three daughters, twins Elle and Reese, and their younger sister Evangeline. Laura loves to read and do sprint-triatholons, while Ryan loves to golf and sit by a good fire.
Neil and Erin Rutan
The Lord really changed my life through being involved in Purdue Cru as a student. I graduated in 2008 and have been on staff with Purdue Cru ever since! I love seeing the Lord draw people to Himself and transform lives. I love reading, music, and traveling.
Corey and Melinda Miller
We’re on staff with Faculty Commons, the faculty ministry of Cru. We grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have three wonderful kids and have both been involved in various aspects of ministry ranging from the arts and women’s ministry (Melinda), to pastoral ministry and university teaching in philosophy and comparative religions (Corey). We are eager to see the day when every university campus has a movement of “missional professors” so that every student knows at least one and so that every academic discipline gets transformed after the image of Christ. Win the professor and win their classroom for generations! We lead the faculty and doctoral student ministry at Purdue and a faculty ministry at Indiana University-Kokomo.
